If you enjoy meeting new people and enjoy driving then you may want to start a local restaurant delivery service. It will take some creativity to establish the connections with various restaurants but once it is established you will be able to provide a niche service and distinctly different than any competitors.

Many restaurants provide take out menus but not all of them provide delivery services. So most people can call ahead for their meals but have to pick them up.

Locate these restaurants and offer your delivery services in exchange for a small payment. You could become extremely busy in a very short time with providing multiple deliveries simultaneously. You will need a reliable vehicle and a GPS or map of the local area in which you are delivering.

As your business grows you could approach restaurants not offering take out of delivery services and encourage them to move into that direction with you providing the delivery services.

You need to promote yourself as providing a convenience service to your customers and an added value to the restaurants. You can provide you services through a phone number or a website. Find a phone number that is memorable so it will be easy for people to remember to call you for their food from any restaurant.

Advertise your services through flyers and through restaurant take out menus. Make sure you have some professional business cards with the identifiable phone number so people know to call you directly no matter what they want to eat.

This would primarily be an evening business which would allow you to promote your business to restaurants during the day.
