5 Easy Homemade Flavoured Butter Recipes

1. Herb Butter

You can use store-bought mixed herbs mixture or chop fresh basil leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves etc. Soften the butter to room temperature. Add mixed herbs and lightly mix it well. Remember, the butter should not be melted, just semi-melted. Refrigerate for at least one hour.

2. Honey Chilli Butter

This sweet and spicy honey chilli butter can work wonders on snacks and toasts. Beat 1 cup of room temperature butter with 2 tbsp honey and 1 small deseeded green chilli. Beat the mixture till it turns creamy and use it instantly.

3. Maple Butter

Maple butter will make your pancakes taste a lot better. Beat half cup maple syrup of your choice with 1 cup of softened butter. Refrigerate it for around half an hour and it is good to use on pancakes, French toast, waffles etc.

4. Garlic Butter

Melt and whip 1 cup butter till it turns soft and mushy. Saute 4-5 chopped garlic cloves. Let it cool down to room temperature and add to the melted butter. Put the butter in a mould or bowl or pour over the cling wrap and shape it however you want. Refrigerate it for few hours to get your flavourful garlic butter.

5. Lemon Butter

Usually, lemon butter is mixed with eggs. To make it, boil water in a large vessel, place a smaller vessel over it. Pour one cup butter on it, add 2 eggs, juice of 2 lemons, 1 cup sugar and stir well. Let the mixture heat till it thickens and turns into a paste.

If you don’t want the butter with eggs and want it to be sour rather than sweet, simply add juice of half lemon, a pinch of sugar to the beaten butter and refrigerate.
