Five Star Dining in Jakarta

Lets see what Jakarta has to offer in the way of the glamorous 5 star dining in this capital of Indonesia!

IndoChine
IndoChine Jakarta is undoubtedly one of the most exclusive eateries in the capital. If you’re after a fine meal, IndoChine Restaurant + Supper Club offer a tasty array of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Laotian dishes all cooked up by a professional team of Southeast Asian chefs. Located up on the 6th floor, IndoChine also offers diners a truly magnificent view of Jl Sudirman and the skyscrapers of the CBD. IndoChine features some superb interior design that truly defines all that exclusivity requires. The highlight of IndoChine Restaurant + Supper Club though is undoubtedly the VIP Mezzanine floor. This highly exclusive dining concept will really impress those willing to make a reservation. The VIP Mezzanine offers wealthier guests the chance to host private luncheons and dinners whilst enjoying bird’s eye views over the city. And if all that wasn’t enough, after a scruptious meal, why not sit back in the handsomely designed cigar room and indulge in a relaxing chat over a couple of smokes?

Harum Manis
Not many would have ever envisioned Javanese cuisine presented in a high class, fine dining style. Culinary expert Chris Janssens however, came up with the idea of transforming the traditional Javanese culinary experience into a five-star festival. Opened in 2008, Harum Manis quickly gained a reputation as the most luxurious Javanese restaurant in Jakarta. The restaurant’s design reflects Javanese nobility and classic artwork melds with the sleek modernity of the restaurant’s lustrous metal interior. Chris Janssens serves up succulent Javanese dishes using the finest ingredients to Harum Manis’ customers. Light snacks such as lumpia, combro and gado-gado make for perfect starters before moving on to main courses such as rawon, satay and grilled seafood. To add even more class to Harum Manis’ already top notch dining, the restaurant only uses Wagyu Beef in its meat dishes. All of the tasty treats of the Kingdom of Java await you!

C’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant
Having recently received many good reviews from the capital’s food critics, Grand Hyatt Hotel Jakarta’s signature restaurant has proved its worth as an eatery of class and distinction. Inside a casually chic interior, C’s specialises in the freshest selections of seafood and the finest choices of prime, top quality steak. C’s also has a wine cellar wine boasting over 3000 bottles, an open kitchen and four private rooms for special occasions. The menu at C’s is simple but by no means simplistic, and the finest tasting grilled pearl lobster as well as the juiciest steaks are all waiting to be tried. Whilst not exactly romantic as such, the restaurant’s ambience is pleasant and relaxing. Reservations are highly recommended.

Riva
This award winning restaurant is withhout doubt one of the city’s favourites. Chef Gilles Marx never fails to serve up delightful French delicacies to Riva’s diners straight from his open kitchen. Featuring an elegant interior, this small yet cosy eatery has for years been a top destination for unforgettable dining. Friendly service and a lovely ambience are also reasons why people return to Riva time and again. Gilles’ mouth watering French signature dishes include Pa-Seared Duck Liver and Pan-Roasted Milk-Fed Veal Chop and are always worth a try. Other items on the menu include pasta and fish, and all are truly excellent. To finish your culinary journey, try the sinful chocolate souffle.

Rosso
Red and glamour. These are the first things that strikes one’s soul upon entering Rosso, an Italian fine dining restaurant located in the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. The minimalist luxury of the restaurant’s interior presents guests with a stylishly simple dining environment. Rosso offers delectable cuisine from North Italy, a region famous for its nobility and traders, and the finest elements all combine in the restaurant’s stylish interior to create an unforgettable experience. Sit yourself down on the expensive leather couches and indulge yourself in the finest Italian dishes that money can buy. From Veal Cheek to Oven Roasted Duck Breast with Aromatic Herbs and Lambrusco Sauce, Rosso’s Chef Alessandro Santi is a true master of his art. Alessandro has previously cooked for the likes of Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Lopez and various Formula One stars during a stint working in Monaco. Now that’s glamour!
