If there’s one thing that everyone misses while at home during quarantine, it has to be the experience of dining out. Going out to try new restaurants, poring our eyes over their new menus, eagerly awaiting the dishes to be prepared, being waited on hand and foot – these are happy memories we all cherish. While the nationwide quarantine is still in place in most parts of the world, a reporter-filmmaker from the United Kingdom had a creative idea for hosting a party for his children at home.

Ben Moore, who goes by the username bigbenmoore on Instagram, is a renown filmmaker and reporter based in the United Kingdom. He is married to television presenter Ellie Crisell, and they have three children together. Ben decided to host for his kids a full-fledged dinner party at home! Take a look at the video:

The video has Ben Moore playing the server at the restaurant, with his two kids as guests at the table. The setup was complete with a flower arrangement on the dinner table, as well as candles and dimmed lights. He proceeded to serve his son some ‘Milk’ from ‘March 2020’ which he poured in a tall wine glass. The son kept the game on and pretended like he was actually a wine connoisseur. His daughter meanwhile needed some help with cutting the chicken in her plate, which he helped her out with.

“Isolation kids dinner party. Fawlty towers dinner party for the kids in lockdown… #coronavirus #lockdown #uk #milk,” wrote Ben Moore sharing the video. His wife Ellie Crisell too shared the video on her Instagram handle, acknowledging the fact that the video went viral as she wrote, “So our Saturday night dinner party antics have gone viral. Here it is in its full glory for the dozen or so of you who haven’t seen it and for the woman in Argentina, I’m afraid he is taken, yes..but I’m open to cash offers.”

The video took the internet by storm, with reactions pouring in from everywhere. People loved how creative he was, and how it was a great way to keep the kids at home occupied and happy. Interestingly, Ben Moore had also tried his hand at eating the South Indian favourite, Dosa. “Today at lunch I ate something as big as my arm. I regret nothing. .#bellygotme,” he wrote on Instagram.
