The video surprises us with the simplicity of the recipe and the entire procedure. You just have to puree tomatoes and cook it in a pan. Then add boiled peas and paneer and top it with some cream.

Here’s a tip by the restaurant to make tomato masala – Cook chopped tomato, onion, ginger-garlic paste in red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander and salt. Cook till the masala leaves oil from its sides and becomes mushy. After it cools down, grind it to make a smooth paste.

Here’s the step-by-step recipe of Dhaba restaurant’s matar paneer –

PREP TIME: 10 mins COOK TIME: 15 minutes SERVES: 2

Ingredients:

200 gm paneer
1 cup boiled peas
1 cup tomato masala
Cream for garnish

Method:

1.        Heat oil in a pan and add tomato masala.
2.        Cook on high flame.
3.        Add the boiled peas and paneer.
4.        Add water as required.
5.        Finish off with cream.
