When you are walking past a bustling street, there are only few things that can stop you right there; for us (most of the times), it is the sight of our favourite street food. Hot samosas, drool-worthy gol gappas, steaming hot momos – this list is varied and quite endless. One such go-to favourite of ours is a large and overloaded plate of street-style noodles or chowmein. Noodles tossed in hot sauces and spices, mixed with vegetables and served hot, There, we saw you slurping! While some of us still cannot enjoy the experience near us, but that does not mean you cannot attempt at making something similar at home, right?

With this egg hakka noodle recipe, you could mimic the same street-style charm at home. It is ridiculously easy to make and requires bare minimum ingredients as well as gives you the liberty of ruling out veggies you never liked in your noodles anyway! In this recipe, the chef has used capsicums, carrots and onions. You can customise it as per your liking, it is your rendition, do whatever you want – nobody’s judging.

Make sure you boil the noodles until there soft, but not too mushy. Add some salt to water while you are boiling them. It is advisable to prepare the eggs in advance. And then scramble them into small, but not very small bits. These egg chunks make the preparation all the more flavourful and wholesome. If you are not a fan of eggs, you can replace it by chicken or soya chunks too.
