Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year. The day marks an important occasion to celebrate mothers, mothers-in-law, grandmothers and even aunts! We saw glimpses of many Mother’s Day celebrations on Instagram by the Bollywood fraternity, but Shilpa Shetty’s celebration caught our attention. The fittest diva let her hair down to celebrate the occasion of Mother’s Day with her mother and mother-in-law, by making two interesting dishes.

The day for the family began with a delicious breakfast of Dosa, but with a luscious cheesy twist. Coconut and mint chutneys were served with the piping hot dosas, making it a wonderful start to the special Mother’s Day celebration. Shilpa Shetty shared the amazing delicacy on her Instagram stories.

This wasn’t the only dish that had been prepared at home for Mother’s Day by Shilpa Shetty. She also took the sumptuous Indian dessert Gajar Ka Halwa and gave it a ‘cake’ spin by making a Gajar Ka Halwa cake! Shilpa Shetty wished all her followers a happy mother’s day by sharing a picture of the gorgeous preparation. The cake had an orange-reddish hue and was topped with generous amounts of chopped dry fruits and nuts. Take a look at the picture.
