For most of us, rolls and wraps are the go-to meals when we are hungry and looking for a quick bite. Not only rolls are easy to make, but are also wholesome and can be made with anything and everything. Have leftover sabzi from last night? Wrap it in a paratha for a takeaway breakfast or tiffin. Love succulent tikkas? Make a wholesome meal by rolling it in a chapati! And then there is one of the simplest rolls – Egg Rolls! One of the most popular, loved, quick and easy meals, egg rolls have not just taken over our hunger pangs but has been literally ruling the Indian street food scene too.

While the popular Kolkata Kathi rolls have been ruling the hearts for long, egg rolls have been making us drool over them and the credit goes to the delicious filling. While the sheer fun of grabbing a lip-smacking roll, filled with sauces, crunchy veggies and fried egg from a street side stall is unmatched, creating one at home is equally satiating, easy and most of all, safe and hygienic.

Egg Roll Recipe:

Here we have a quick and easy egg roll recipe made without refined oil, where eggs are beaten with salt, black pepper, and milk, which makes it a thick and wholesome batter. This batter is cooked with butter on a pan until a ‘pancake’ like texture and is topped with a mix of yogurt, salt, green chilli and coriander leaves. These are rolled and served hot. You can add a few tangy sauces if you wish to make it more flavourful and also make crispy parathas and cook the egg mixture over them for a fulfilling meal.
