The Covid-19 pandemic has hit businesses across the world like nothing else ever has. The hospitality and restaurant sector were the first ones to suffer. It has today changed the way we go out and socialise. Simple leisure activities like dining out over the weekend poses a challenge now. After India announced a lockdown in March, restaurants across the country had to shut down till further notice. Takeaways and deliveries were hit too, especially in the states with a large number of cases.

Maharashtra, a state with a high number of Corona positive cases and a place with over lakhs of eateries, cafes and restaurants, had to change its dynamics overnight after the lockdown. But here’s some good news! The state’s capital Mumbai got some relief with unlock 1 when the restaurants were allowed to open for deliveries and takeaways. Here we have some of the most popular restaurants in Mumbai that are now open for deliveries and takeaways! With the safety precautions in place, these restaurants are embracing the new normal.

1. Bastian Bakery

One of the first ones to shut down due to the pandemic, Bastian’s bakery resumed its delivery and takeaway services from 22nd July, 2020. Known for decadent desserts like cheesecakes, brownies and cakes that even Shilpa Shetty Kundra can’t resist!

2. Le 15 Patisserie And Cafe

After having to shut down the Colaba restaurant in April, the popular patisserie chain by the celebrity baker Pooja Dhingra resumed delivery and takeaways from July 1. Missed gorging on those drool-worthy sea salt macaroons or the decadent hazelnut macaroons? Now, have them at your doorstep!

3. Kitchen Garden By Suzette

Fan of fresh, organic and loaded salads and DIY sandwiches? Kitchen Garden by the popular French creperie Suzette is your go-to place! With 4 brands of restaurants under their hat – a bakery and a Deli, Suzette is open for takeaways and deliveries.
