Anushka Sharma's Ram Navami Meal Featured These Festive Favourites! (See Pic Inside)

Anushka Sharma seems to be in full festive mood for Ram Navami 2020

India is celebrating Ram Navami today. According to legends, Ram Navami is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Hindu God Rama. Ram Navami also marks the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, when many Hindus organise kanjak at their homes. The unique ritual involves inviting nine pre-pubescent girls and offering them a delicious meal of poori and chole. Bollywood star Anushka Sharma seems to be in full festive mood, she not only extended her wishes for Ram Navami via instagram, but also posted a story with a sumptuous fare of two pooris, a bowl of sooji ka halwa, and a portion of kala chana. The traditional meal looks exactly how it is prepared in most households. The kala chana is a dried preparation, where in the chickpeas are tossed in a mix of rustic spices. The sooji ka halwa is prepared by roasting sooji to a point it attains a beautiful golden-brown hue.

The lockdown has unleashed many hidden talents of our stars. It was only a few days before, Anushka was baking a cake for her father on his birthday, instead of ordering in one from a bakery. She also gave husband Virat Kohli a suave haircut.
