How To Make Instant Amla-Gur Chutney | Instant Amla-Gur Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup amla

1 cup jaggery

1 teaspoon oil

Half teaspoon panch phoron (click here for recipe)

1 whole red chilli

Black salt, as per taste

1.5 teaspoon roasted jeera powder

Method:

Boil the amla in water till it turns soft and tender.

De-seed and coarsely mash the boiled amlas after cooling down.

Heat oil in a pan and add red chilli and panch phoron. Sauté till the spices crackle.

Add the amla with some black salt and cook for a minute.

Now break the jaggery into small pieces and add to the amla. Cook everything together on a low flame till the jaggery melts.

Now add roasted jeera, black salt if needed and stir continuously till you get the desired consistency.

Add red chilli powder and black pepper powder if you want it to be spicier.

The instant amla-gur chutney is ready to be served.

Pro-tip: You can also store this chutney in refrigerator for a day or two. Cool it down and pour in an air-tight jar.
