Paneer or cottage cheese is a great source of proteins. 

Paneer-Soya Sabzi Recipe –

Ingredients –

1 cup soya chunks

1 cup paneer cubes

1 large onion

2 tomatoes

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1-2 tbsp curd

3 cloves

Half inch cinnamon stick

1 bay leaf

2-3 peppercorns

1-2 slit green chillies

Salt and red chilli powder to taste

Half teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon coriander powder

Juice of half lemon

Method –

Step 1 – Soak soya chunks in water before starting the cooking process.

Step 2 – In a kadhai, heat some ghee, add all the whole spices and roast for around 1 minute. Add garlic, green chilli and onions and cook till onions turn brown.

Step 3 – Add tomatoes, ginger, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.

Step 4 – When tomatoes turn mushy and start leaving ghee on the sides, add curd and saute for around 1 minute.

Step 5 – Drain water from soya chunks and add to the onion-tomato mixture.

Step 6 – Cover the kadhai and let soya cook (10-15 minutes).

Step 7 – Next, add paneer cubes and stir well. Turn off the gas.

Step 8 – Sprinkle lemon juice and mix well.

Step 9 – Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
