This soulful combination of churned curd, spices and herbs can not only soothe your tummy troubles and rejuvenate you from within, but also do wonders for your overall immunity.

As we all know, the primary ingredient of chaas or buttermilk is curd that is mixed vigorously with select spices. In this recipe, the curd is mixed with green chillies, coriander leaves, rock salt or kala namak, a pinch of chaat masala and a cup of water. Both green chillies and coriander leaves are replete with antioxidants. Antioxidants help fight dangerous free radical activity and rev up our immunity naturally. This recipe also contains salt, if you wish, you can rule it out of the recipe, since it already has kala namak or rock salt. Excess salt consumption may lead to water retention and raised BP levels. You can, instead, add a pinch of black pepper powder in place of salt. Black pepper is renowned for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. Black pepper is also enriched with a range of antioxidants.
