Wheat momos come as a perfect alternative to all those cravings without compromising on health! Whole wheat flour is a rich source of dietary fibre and protein, both of which are essential macro-nutrients required for a healthy body. It is considered healthier as compared to refined flour due to less processing involved which retains much of its nutrients.

We have a vegetarian wheat momos recipe in which dough is prepared using wheat flour (atta) and rested for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a tempting mix of veggies like cabbage, carrot and onion are sautéed in a wok along with garlic, clove, vinegar, soy sauce, chilli sauce, pepper and salt. The mix is stuffed into small balls made out of dough, pleated into the shape of momos and steamed for about 12 minutes. In no more than 40 minutes, one can enjoy a piping hot serving of vegetable momos at home with a tantalising sauce. You can find the recipe for momo’s chilli sauce here.
