Summers are the months when most of our appetites are much lower than usual due to the intense heat. We may not feel like eating all the time and usually tend to avoid heavy or food that makes the body hot. What we do need in summers is something that is light to digest, refreshing and satiating too – and all of this in a single meal. Shilpa Shetty’s breakfast is giving us serious summer goals because it’s exactly all of this and more!

Shilpa Shetty is one of the fittest people in the industry today, and is also a social media influencer in her own right. Her healthy and tasty recipes truly win the hearts of her followers. The diva is super fit and maintains a strict diet regime at all times, except for Sundays when she lets her hair down and binges on what she really likes to eat. This breakfast meal was what she ate on a regular weekday, but with an interesting summery twist. Take a look at the picture she shared:

“Chia, mango, flaxseeds, and Overnight soaked oats in almond milk #breakfast,” wrote the actress in her Instagram story. Her breakfast bowl indeed looked refreshing and delicious. The Mango cubes gave the simple soaked oats a fruity spin, and also gave the breakfast a natural sweetness that comes with the summer fruit. Chia seeds and flaxseeds both are superfoods in their own right, adding the much-needed good fats to the meal. Further, Shilpa Shetty used almond milk instead of regular milk, making the whole recipe vegan and a wholesome meal in itself!

We hope to see more such sneak peeks into Shilpa Shetty’s breakfast recipes for some summer inspiration!
