Boosting immunity is on everyone’s mind right now. With the danger of Coronavirus still looming large and changing weather making us susceptible to common infections like viral fever, cold and cough, having a strong immunity is all the more important these days. While there are many nutrients like vitamin C that help one build their immunity, Omega-3 is another nutrient that plays almost a huge role in preparing our body to prevent seasonal infections. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) corroborated it putting up a post on Twitter urging people to start consuming foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.

The food regulatory body suggested some plant-based foods that are rich in Omega 3 and should be included in our regular diet. The post read – “Include Omega-3 Fatty Acids-rich, plant-based foods in your diet from today to increase your immunity.” Here are the foods that FSSAI named in its Twitter post.
